Gupta Meds is a licensed retail pharmacy in Cuttack, Odisha. Because of what we sell, some of the information you give us is health information — and we treat it accordingly. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.

What we collect

• Contact and delivery details: your name, phone number, email and delivery address.
• Order information: what you bought, when, and how you paid.
• Prescriptions and health information: the prescriptions you upload or send us, and anything you tell us during a consultation.
• Website data: basic analytics such as pages viewed and device type.

We do not store your card or bank details. Payments are handled by a third-party payment gateway.

Why we hold it

• To dispense your order correctly and deliver it to you
• To let our registered pharmacist verify prescriptions, which the law requires
• To keep the sale records a licensed pharmacy is legally obliged to maintain
• To give you the guidance you asked for, and to answer your questions
• To improve the website

What we will never do

• We will never sell your data.
• We will never share your prescriptions or health information with advertisers, insurers, employers or data brokers.
• We will never use your health information to target you with marketing.

Who we do share with

Only where it is necessary to complete what you asked for:

• Delivery partners — your name, address and phone number. Never your prescription.
• Payment gateway — to process payment.
• Government authorities — where a law, licence condition or valid legal order requires it.

How long we keep it

Prescription and sale records are retained for the period required under the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 — currently two years for most categories. Order and account records are kept as long as your account is active and as required by tax law. Beyond that, we delete.

Security

Prescriptions are stored with access restricted to authorised staff, and the site runs over HTTPS. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously: this is medical information about you and your family.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete your data where we are not legally required to keep it. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time — that will not affect your orders or your consultations.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep your cart working, keep you logged in, and understand how the site is used. You can block them in your browser, but the cart will stop working properly.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. Parents may of course order medicines for their children.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
